Subject: [Caml-list] Your ideal 3D engine?
Date: Wed, 15 Sep 2004 09:08:11 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <OOEALCJCKEBJBIJHCNJDOEIPHIAB.vanevery@indiegamedesign.com> (raw)
My current plan is to OCaml-ize the Nebula2 3D engine.
http://nebuladevice.cubik.org Nebula2 is a commercial quality engine
and has a MIT-style license. A lot needs to happen to create value add
over and above C++. So I thought I would ask you people, what would
your ideal OCaml 3D engine do? Ignore for a moment that I'm working on
a legacy C++ codebase and pretend I'm some super-wizard who can do
anything you want from scratch (short of free tickets to Disneyland.
:-) What would make an OCaml, functionally programmed 3D engine greatly
superior to other product offerings out there?
