I am the current Music Librarian at the Victoria Conservatory of Music. Our
institution is in the preliminary stages of exploring the digitization of
our collection. I wanted to connect to discover which organizations have
undertaken a similar initiative and, if so, what that process has looked
like.
I am particularly interested in how you have navigated copyright
considerations and whether any challenges have arisen in that area. I have
previous experience with a music digitization project at a radio station.
However, the scope and copyright landscape were quite different from what I
anticipate encountering in this context.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss your experiences and
any insights you may be willing to share regarding the digitization of
library collections. I am happy to connect via email, video call, or
phone—whatever format is most convenient for you.
