Subject: New software: HTTP, cryptography
Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 02:44:45 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <99061802565301.29265@schneemann> (raw)
There is a new release of my HTTP/1.1 client, correcting some errors and
providing a simplified API:
http://people.darmstadt.netsurf.de/Gerd.Stolpmann/ocaml/netclient-0.2.1.tar.gz
I've bundled Blowfish and DES implementations to a new package:
http://people.darmstadt.netsurf.de/Gerd.Stolpmann/ocaml/cryptgps-0.1.tar.gz
The implementations are written purely in Ocaml, no C library is needed. They
are 8 to 10 times slower than the hand-optimized C/assembler functions found in
ssleay; that's not too bad. They mainly do 32-bit integer arithmetic, and this
is not one of the areas where Ocaml is brilliant...
Updates of the packages are announced, as usual, in the O'caml link db:
http://www.npc.de/ocaml/linkdb/
Have fun with that,
Gerd
