Yes that's what I was trying to say.
Unfortunately, such implementation would be hard to maintain
(Linux capture ring buffer have already several implementations, to say
nothing about supporting other OSes).
Ideally, I'd like to pass const pointers to packet bytes provided by
libpcap to user callbacks up to bitstring through OCaml (say via a
sufficiently large int type?).
