Subject: [Caml-list] OCaml compiler compilation
Date: Mon, 24 May 2004 17:39:46 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20040524153945.GA11996@mattam.ath.cx> (raw)

Hi,
i'm the maintainer of gentoo's ocaml ebuilds. Someone asked me why
the CFLAGS variable is not always taken into account while building the
compiler (notably in asmrun/, where NATIVECCCOMPOPTS is used
instead). As i am not able to give a proper answer to this question,
i forward it here. Also, if only some flags are unsafe or unsupported in
NATIVECCCOMPOPTS, i'd like to know which ones so i can filter them out
to prevent problems.
