You don't; you can do the following instead:
$ ocaml -I +lablgtk lablgtk.cma
Objective Caml version 3.06

I think lablgtk is a hold-over from the days when the interpreter
didn't support the #load directive, so you had to build custom
top-levels with various libraries.
