[English version follows.]

        machine: ftp.inria.fr
        repertoire: lang/caml-light

Veuillez envoyer vos rapports d'anomalies a caml-light@pauillac.inria.fr.

[English version:]

It is our pleasure to announce the release of Caml Light version 0.71.

The main novelty of this version is a port to Microsoft Windows 3.x
(with the Win32s compatibility system), Windows 95 and WindowsNT.
The toplevel system is presented as a Windows application with
integrated editor, history mechanism, and a separate window for graphics.
Ease of use is comparable to that of the Macintosh port.

The batch compilers are also provided for Windows 95 and Windows NT.
They do not run under Windows 3.x nor under plain MSDOS (we tried 5
different C compilers; none was able to produce code for all these
systems and implement user interrupts correctly).

Version 0.71 is also available for Unix, and is being ported to the
Macintosh. No major differences with version 0.7, but all bugs
reported for 0.7 have been fixed, as well as a number of bugs found
during the development of Caml Special Light.

The complete 0.71 distribution, as well as patches from 0.7, are
available by anonymous FTP from the usual place:

        host: ftp.inria.fr
        directory: lang/caml-light

Bug reports should be mailed to caml-light@pauillac.inria.fr.

                                Jean-Marie Geffroy
                                Pierre Weis
