Subject: MMM, a Web browser in Caml Light
Date: Mon, 11 Sep 1995 18:17:50 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <199509111617.SAA24041@fronsac.inria.fr> (raw)

[-- Warning: decoded text below may be mangled, UTF-8 assumed --]

It is my pleasure to announce the first distribution of the MMM Web browser.

Some features:
* written in Caml Light 0.7 with the GUI interface for Tk 4.0
* small and fast
* polyglot (i.e. buttons and messages may be displayed in different languages)
* multi-window and completely asynchronous (more or less). Several documents
can be retrieved and displayed simultaneously.
* configurable (fonts, images, mailer, ...)
* implements HTML 2.0 Level 2 (for the non specialists, this means that
forms are supported, by not tables)

MMM was written to demonstrate the capabilities of Caml Light in the field
of industrial applications. After some testing, the program shows performances
similar to those of concurrent commercial realisations, and thus is being
made available to the community.

-----
