Subject: no syntax highlighting with emacs

Hello

I installed OCaml 3.10.0 
I also installed emacs .el files by running 
make install    in the emacs/ directory of ocaml

I did not get the syntax highlighting 

Looking at /usr/share/emacs/21.4/site-lisp

it seems that caml-hilit.elc is missing.
Is that the reason why there is no syntax highlighting ?
