Pls let us know when ability to download from CVS is likely to happen, for Ocaml itself (since I use the CVS version), and also for packages which choose to expose their CVS versions. This would be a major plus I think, since so many packages (including Ocaml) are in flux, and bleeding edge developers can't really use GODI properly unless they can specify CVS for key libraries. The most important probably being one's OWN library under development. This makes new libraries available early, and updates available instantly, without any need to 'release' a new version to GODI. Oh and of course GODI itself can upgrade itself from CVS .. the total result will not be particularly stable, but it will allow a significant amount of *early* cooperation between developers. Side note: I am close to *abandoning* tarball releases for the development sources of Felix and simply providing a single Makefile with 'download_from_CVS' and 'Upgrade_from_CVS' targets... saves messing around uploading tarballs all the time .. I'll still use tarballs for stable releases though. -- John Skaller, mailto:skaller@users.sf.net voice: 061-2-9660-0850, snail: PO BOX 401 Glebe NSW 2037 Australia Checkout the Felix programming language http://felix.sf.net ------------------- To unsubscribe, mail caml-list-request@inria.fr Archives: http://caml.inria.fr Bug reports: http://caml.inria.fr/bin/caml-bugs FAQ: http://caml.inria.fr/FAQ/ Beginner's list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ocaml_beginners
