We want people to develop commercial applications using Ocaml, because otherwise it will never be a success. Having a lot of libraries that can be used without restrictions is a competitive advantage for a programming language. Ocaml has few libraries compared to alternatives, making it more difficult to develop applications. I think that many programmers just select the (L)GPL-license without thinking about the consequences, but I might be wrong. /mattias ------------------- To unsubscribe, mail caml-list-request@inria.fr Archives: http://caml.inria.fr Bug reports: http://caml.inria.fr/bin/caml-bugs FAQ: http://caml.inria.fr/FAQ/ Beginner's list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ocaml_beginners
