I just found something quite funny :

let print x =
    printf "BEGIN";
    printf x;
    flush stdout

print "test";;
print "%d" 10; (** TOO MUCH ARGS **)

============

let print x =
    printf "BEGIN";
    let r = printf x in
    flush stdout;
    r

print "test";
print "%d" 10; (** WORKING **)
